Frequently Asked Questions
Clear, honest answers to common questions about funded account evaluations, risk management rules, and platform verification.
Proprietary trading evaluations are simulated risk assessment challenges where you trade demo capital under strict risk parameters (such as a 5% daily drawdown and 10% maximum drawdown) to hit a profit target (typically 8% to 10%). Once you pass the evaluation, you are granted funded status. In the funded stage, you execute trades on simulated or live aggregated accounts and receive real cash profit payouts—typically keeping 80% to 95% of the gains you generate.
Understanding drawdown calculation is the #1 factor in passing challenges. Static Drawdown fixes your maximum loss floor based on your starting capital (e.g., on a $100,000 account with 10% static drawdown, your loss limit never rises above $90,000, even if you make $15,000 profit). Balance-Based Drawdown calculates daily limits only on closed trade balances at midnight, protecting against intraday spikes. In contrast, Trailing Drawdown follows your highest open equity peak in real time—meaning if an open trade floats in profit and pulls back, your drawdown floor rises and can trap you prematurely.
