Is Exnova Legit: High-Risk Warning for Kenyan Traders

Exnova is a very new binary options broker (founded 2024) with NO government regulation, multiple withdrawal complaints, and accounts being blocked after withdrawal requests. This review provides the honest facts Kenyan traders need to know - and recommends safer alternatives that we've tested with real money.

6.2of 10

Very new broker with NO regulation and multiple red flags. We do NOT recommend Exnova for Kenyan traders.

Exnova offers 250+ assets and up to 95% payouts with a low $10 minimum deposit. However, this broker was founded in 2024, has NO government regulation, multiple withdrawal complaints, unresponsive customer support, and accounts being blocked after withdrawal requests. We strongly recommend safer alternatives like Deriv, Pocket Option, or Quotex.

01 - Who is Exnova, really?

Exnova is a very new online trading platform founded in 2024 and operated by Digital Smart LLC, registered in Saint Kitts and Nevis (company registration number L 22205). The platform claims to offer 250+ assets including forex, stocks, cryptocurrencies, commodities, indices, and ETFs.

Exnova presents itself as a modern, user-friendly platform with features like Blitz Options (5-second expiration trades), Trailing Options, and up to 95% payouts. The platform has a mobile app available on both Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

However, our research has uncovered serious red flags that Kenyan traders need to understand before considering this platform. Multiple review sites including WikiFX, FastBull, and BinaryOptionsVision have flagged Exnova as high-risk and not recommended.

Trading platform interface showing warning signs
Exnova claims to offer 250+ assets and up to 95% payouts, but multiple red flags make this a high-risk choice for Kenyan traders.

Over the past six years at Kenya Forex Firm, I have personally tested more than 60 offshore brokers with real money. Exnova is one of the few that I cannot recommend based on the lack of regulation, multiple withdrawal complaints, and accounts being blocked after withdrawal requests.

02 - Regulation & red flags - the uncomfortable truth

Let's address the regulatory situation directly, because this is where Exnova's problems are most serious.

The Saint Kitts and Nevis registration

Exnova is operated by Digital Smart LLC, registered in Saint Kitts and Nevis. Here's what that actually means:

  • Saint Kitts and Nevis business registration is NOT a financial license. It's a simple company registration with no financial oversight, no capital requirements, and no investor protection.
  • Saint Kitts and Nevis does not regulate forex or binary options brokers. The registration is essentially a "flag of convenience" - similar to registering a ship under a flag with minimal oversight.
  • Exnova is NOT regulated by any government financial authority - no CySEC, no FCA, no ASIC, no VFSC, nothing.

This is one of the weakest regulatory profiles of any broker we've reviewed. If Exnova freezes your funds or disappears, your recourse is essentially zero.

"After reviewing dozens of offshore binary options trading platforms, I can say with confidence that Exnova's Saint Kitts registration is one of the thinnest regulatory wrappers I've seen. This broker was founded in 2024, has no verifiable regulation, and multiple users report withdrawal problems. Kenyan traders should avoid this platform entirely."- Patrick Mahinge, in this 2026 Kenya Forex Firm Exnova review

What about Kenya's Capital Markets Authority (CMA)?

The CMA has no licensing regime for binary options brokers. No broker offering binaries to Kenyan clients holds a CMA licence for that product, Exnova included. The CMA has repeatedly warned the public against unlicensed online trading platforms. Trading with an offshore broker is not itself a criminal offence for an individual, but if the broker freezes your funds or disappears, no Kenyan authority can recover your money.

NoneNo binary regime exists

NoneNo compensation fund

My honest recommendation: Do NOT use Exnova. The lack of any verifiable regulation combined with multiple withdrawal complaints and accounts being blocked makes this an unacceptable risk for Kenyan traders. There are much safer binary trading sites in kenya available.

03 - Exnova Withdrawal problems - the biggest red flag

This is where Exnova's problems become most serious. Multiple users have reported severe withdrawal issues:

Exnova Reported withdrawal problems

  • Accounts being blocked - users report their accounts being locked after requesting withdrawals
  • Withdrawal requests being cancelled - requests disappearing without explanation
  • Withdrawal methods being removed - users report all withdrawal options being removed from their account
  • Delays of weeks or months - some users report waiting 3+ business days as claimed, others report much longer
  • Unresponsive customer support - users report emails going unanswered for days or weeks
  • 2% withdrawal fee - charged after the first free withdrawal per month
"On May 24, 2026, at 19:06, the platform deliberately canceled my $2,000 withdrawal request and manually removed all available withdrawal methods."- WikiFX user review of Exnova

These are not isolated incidents. Multiple independent binary options broker review sites have documented similar complaints. When a broker has this many withdrawal problems and is blocking accounts, it's a clear sign that something is fundamentally wrong with their operations.

What this means for Kenyan traders

If you deposit money with Exnova and then want to withdraw it, you may face:

  • Your account being blocked or locked
  • Withdrawal requests being cancelled or ignored
  • Waiting weeks or months for any payout
  • All withdrawal methods being removed from your account
  • No recourse if the broker refuses to return your money

This is unacceptable risk. There are many safer alternatives that have proven withdrawal track records.

04 - Account types - what Exnova claims to offer

Exnova offers a simple account structure:

Demo account

Every new visitor gets a free demo account loaded with $10,000 in virtual funds. There is no time limit, the balance can be refilled, and the demo gives you access to all 250+ instruments and every platform feature. The demo runs on real market prices.

Real account

Opens with a $10 minimum deposit (about KES 1,293 at the January 2026 reference rate of 1 USD = KES 129.30). You get access to all instruments, payouts up to 95%, and the full platform suite. There are no monthly fees or inactivity fees.

Exnova does not offer tiered account types like some competitors. All real accounts have the same features regardless of deposit size.

However, given the withdrawal problems and lack of regulation, we cannot recommend opening any type of account with Exnova.

For Kenyan traders looking for legitimate account options, we recommend:

  • Deriv - $5 minimum deposit, direct M-Pesa, multiple platforms
  • Pocket Option - $5 minimum deposit, direct M-Pesa, social trading
  • Quotex - $10 minimum deposit, M-Pesa via agent, highest payouts

Start with a free demo - no deposit required

Practice on real market prices with $10,000 virtual funds. No credit card, no M-Pesa, no risk.

05 - Deposits & payment methods - NO M-Pesa support

Here's where Exnova has a major disadvantage for Kenyan traders: NO M-Pesa support. Unlike most brokers that cater to African markets, Exnova does not accept M-Pesa - not even through payment agents.

Available deposit methods

  • Visa / Mastercard - instant, no fee
  • Bank wire transfer - 1-3 business days, possible correspondent bank fees
  • Cryptocurrency (BTC, ETH, USDT) - 5-60 minutes depending on network congestion
  • PayPal, Skrill, Neteller - e-wallet options, instant
  • ACH/SEPA transfers - bank transfers, 1-3 business days
  • M-Pesa - NOT AVAILABLE

The lack of M-Pesa support is a genuine disadvantage for Kenyan traders. You must have a Visa/Mastercard, bank account for wire transfers, or cryptocurrency wallet. This immediately excludes many Kenyan traders who prefer M-Pesa for privacy, convenience, or because they don't have international cards.

Need M-Pesa support? Try Deriv instead.

Deriv offers direct M-Pesa integration with deposits in 6 minutes and withdrawals in 30 minutes to 2 hours.

06 - Trading platforms - what we know

Exnova offers a web-based platform and mobile apps for iOS and Android. The platform includes features like:

Blitz Options

Exnova's signature feature - binary options with 5-second expirations and payouts up to 95%. These are extremely high-risk, short-term trades that require quick decision-making.

Trailing Options

A feature that allows traders to lock in profits as the market moves in their favor, similar to a trailing stop-loss in traditional trading.

Technical indicators

The platform offers 100+ technical indicators including Bollinger Bands, RSI, MACD, and various oscillators for chart analysis.

Mobile apps

Available on both Google Play Store and Apple App Store. The apps offer the same features as the web platform with push notifications for trade results and price movements.

However, given the serious withdrawal problems and lack of regulation, we have not tested the platform in detail and do not recommend using it.

For Kenyan traders who want reliable, well-tested platforms, we recommend:

  • Deriv - Five platforms including DTrader, DMT5, SmartTrader, DBot, and Deriv Go
  • Pocket Option - Mobile-first design with excellent app on Play Store and App Store
  • Quotex - Clean, intuitive interface with mobile app available

07 - Markets & instruments - 250+ assets

Exnova claims to offer 250+ assets across multiple categories:

Forex pairs
~50Majors, minors & exotics
Stocks
~60US, EU, Asian markets
Cryptocurrencies
~40Incl. BTC, ETH, LTC
Commodities
~30Metals, energy, agriculture
Indices
~25Global benchmarks
ETFs
~45Exchange-traded funds

The asset selection is comprehensive and competitive with other brokers. However, a platform with withdrawal problems is not safe regardless of how many assets it offers.

For Kenyan traders who want access to a wide range of assets with a reliable broker, we recommend:

  • Quotex - 400+ instruments, largest selection in offshore binary space
  • Deriv - 190+ instruments including unique synthetic indices
  • IQ Option - 300+ instruments with excellent platform UX

08 - Fees, payouts & leverage - the full cost picture

Exnova's fee structure has some concerning elements:

Deposits & withdrawals

  • Deposits: Free on all methods. No hidden conversion fees beyond the standard card-issuer or network charges.
  • Withdrawals: 2% fee after first free withdrawal per month. This is a significant cost that reduces your profits.

Payouts

On binary options, Exnova does not charge a separate commission. The cost is built into the payout percentage. Exnova claims payouts of up to 95% on most instruments, and some sources mention up to 99% on specific trades. During our research, we found that realistic payouts are typically 85-95% depending on the instrument and market conditions.

Leverage

Exnova is a binary options broker, so leverage in the traditional forex sense does not apply. Each trade is a fixed-risk, all-or-nothing contract. You cannot lose more than your stake on a single trade, which is a genuine advantage for risk management.

Other fees

  • Inactivity fee: None. Exnova does not charge for account inactivity.
  • Currency conversion: 2% fee if your account currency differs from the instrument currency. Open a USD account to avoid this entirely.

The 2% withdrawal fee is a significant disadvantage compared to brokers like Deriv, Pocket Option, and Quotex that charge zero withdrawal fees.

09 - The demo account - your most underrated tool

Exnova's demo account is free, unlimited in duration, refillable on demand, and gives you access to 250+ instruments and every platform feature. The demo runs on real market prices, so the fills, spreads and slippage you experience are genuine.

The $10,000 virtual balance is standard for the industry. This gives you sufficient runway to test strategies and build confidence before risking real money.

However, given the serious withdrawal problems and lack of regulation, we recommend using the demo accounts of safer brokers instead:

  • Deriv - $10,000 demo, five platforms, synthetic indices
  • Pocket Option - $50,000 demo, social trading, tournaments
  • Quotex - $10,000 demo, 400+ instruments

10 - Customer support - complaints about non-response

Exnova claims to offer 24/7 customer support via live chat, email, and phone. However, multiple users have reported that support does not respond to withdrawal complaints.

"Exnova responded, advising the client to email the support team and expect a response within 48 hours. However, previous emails went unanswered."- FastBull review of Exnova

When a broker's support team ignores withdrawal complaints and accounts are being blocked, it's a clear sign that something is fundamentally wrong. We cannot recommend any broker that fails to respond to customer concerns about their money.

For Kenyan traders who want reliable customer support, we recommend brokers with proven support track records like Deriv, Pocket Option, and Olymp Trade.

11 - Pros & cons - the uncomfortable summary

What Exnova claims

  • Claims 24/7 customer support

The reality (red flags)

  • 2% withdrawal fee after first free withdrawal per month
  • NO M-Pesa support - card/wire/crypto only
